On Thursday 22nd August, the second Heathrow Charity Golf Day of 2019 was held at Cuddington Golf Club in Surrey, where 100 players making up 25 teams of four competed against each other.
Unlike June’s Golf Day, the weather was perfect and this time we managed to raise £13,000 in addition to June’s total of over £15,000. This will be equally divided between Heathrow’s three Charity Partners, CARE, Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Heathrow Community Fund, who were all in attendance at both events this year to meet our Team Heathrow partners and collect even more donations on the day.
Darren Colderwood, Heathrow On Airport Delivery Director, Expansion Programme, who attended the evening celebration and prize ceremony, thanked all who had attended for the first and second time this year. He was amazed and delighted by the £28,000 that was raised from both events, which will make a vital contribution to our charities.
The winners of Day Two, with a total of 54 points, were H McGovern & Son Plant Hire, with 2nd place, on count back, going to the Aviation Business Continuity and 3rd place to Cappagh Group.
